@ Balik Pulau

Its the time of the year again when durian lovers are  making their annual sojourn to the land of D2, D101, D24, D88, Raja Kunyit and Ang Hare. I too will "pay homage" to the king of fruits if I were a "worshiper", but I'm not. For me, durian = constipation, so I rarely consume them even though I do enjoy good durians.
Balik Pulau has always been known for its durians http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Durian and in the past laksa also.  http://www.malaysiasite.nl/recipe3.htm  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Laksa
It is lesser known for its padi fields, fresh water streams and seaside. Everytime I'm there, it feels like I'm  travelling through time, going back to the past. It feels as if time is still stuck in the 70's there.
Balik Pulau is a place I go to whenever I needed some solitude, it's a place for me to get away from everything and everyone.
